Mitocondri come pasta madre / Mitochondria as sourdough

I don't know how I lived so far without knowing anything about the genetic makeup of mitochondria. Maybe normal people do not even remember what mitochondria are. The fact that these cell organelles, which stay in the cytoplasm of each of our cells to take care of their breathing, don't have the same genetic heritage of the cell nucleus. In the nucleus there is DNA which is the fruit of the union of the set of mom and dad. But the mitochondria do not. The mitochondrion has its own kit. Kit which is equal to that of mitochondria from our mother because the mother's ovules are rich in mitochondria. The sperm instead has only two mitochondria in the tail, which, as you know, stays out of the ovule when fecundation occurs. A lot of important implications derives from the fact that mitochondria have this maternal lineage and that, generally, remain unchanged (when there is a mutation is a big problem). To better understand the issue is perhaps helpful to think of sourdough, the one you need to make bread. There are sourdoughs that are alive for hundreds of years. Who knows for how many generations the genetic makeup of your mitochondria remained exactly the same. More over there aren't 6 billion variants of genetic makeup of mitochondria in the world, there are many, many less. Just think about the fact that my mitochondria have the exact same set of those of my brothers, my mom, all my seven maternal aunts, all my maternal cousins (too many), my maternal grandmother, her sister, my maternal great-grandmother. So there's a very big team of persons, all with the same mitochondria. Maybe Obama and I have the same mitochondria, thams to a strange genealogic path. The fact is that you can map this thing. And so, mapping the "teams" of mitochondria the nonexistence of the races of humankind has been proved in a prominent scientific study. In short, mitochondria are the basis for world peace. Since I know my mitochondria, I can not think of anything else. And movies don'tt give me the same emotions as before.
