Genetica e matrimoni / Genetics and weddings

Tra venti giorni ho il primo esame, genetica. Il libro su cui sto studiando, oltre a essere scientificamente aggiornatissimo, è davvero ben scritto, appassionante, non uno sterile libro di testo. E' la traduzione italiana del famoso Genetics: a conceptual approach di Benjamin Pierce.

Bene, finchè tratta di cani, ratti, conigli, galline e moscerini della frutta si esprime con termini tipo "incrociando", "fecondando" e quant'altro. Quando parla di esseri umani, soprattutto negli esercizi, attacca delle manfrine tipo "Se Mary sposa Bill e i due fanno un figlio". 

Insomma mi sta dicendo che la genetica vale solo per i figli concepiti all'interno del matrimonio?

In twenty days I have the first exam, genetics. The book on which I am studying is scientifically updated and well written, it is exciting, not a sterile textbook. It is the Italian translation of the famous Genetics: a Conceptual Approach by Benjamin Pierce.
Well, as long as dogs, rats, rabbits, chickens and fruit flies are treated terms such as "crossing" and "fertilization" are used. When the study concerns human beings, especially in the exercises, the book starts  playacting like "If Mary married Bill and they have a child."
In short, is it telling me that genetics is only for children conceived within marriage?
